FHE Fishing Trip

Life has been absolutely crazy the past couple of months, but Monday night we found the time to take Lexi and Rowen on their first little fishing trip. Lexi got a Barbie fishing pole for her birthday and we just threw one in for Rowen too. We decided that we would see what the fishing was like at the Spanish Fork Reservoir. We didn't have to wait long to catch our first fish. Probably a good thing considering that we had two little kids with us. Lexi was so funny, as soon as she her first fish out of the water she started to act like a girl. She didn't want that thing touching her and she kept her distance. Even in the picture of her holding up her first fish you can see that she was trying to keep it as far away as possible. It was really funny!



While Brad and Lexi fished, Rowen kept me very busy. He wanted so badly to go down by the water, but it was just too steep and I knew it would just result in him taking a cold dip in the reservoir. I did entertain him for a few minutes with the camera and got some fun pictures of Rowen and I.


It was a fun night and Lexi was so proud of the two fish she caught all by herself. She is so excited to go camping tomorrow so she can fish some more. She reminds me so much of me at her age. I come from a long line of fishermen and I loved, loved, loved to fish. I would never eat them though...gross! Lexi on the other hand likes fish and can't wait to cook her catch. I am sure that as Rowen gets bigger he'll love it too.
