{Good Old Friends}

Today I attended a baby shower for my friend Mandy. She is expecting her first baby on Valentine's Day, and she absolutely glows. Mandy is my best friend from high school and we connected the first day that we met. We could read each others minds from day one and I am happy to say, we still have that connection. She is a great person and will be a wonderful Mommy. Mandy married Rhett, whom was also a friend of ours. Obviously she and Rhett were more than just friends, but there was a time when we all hung out and did stupid things that teenagers do. It was fun to get to call Rhett "Dad"! It was so nice to see each other today and to get to visit with her and the family.

Another one of my high school friends married Mandy's brother and it was so nice to see Crystal again too. I was so relieved that it was so easy to visit with her. You know how it is, you get in a meaningless disagreement in high school, quit talking and then before you know it you never had the opportunity to make up. Well, I have very fond memories of Crystal and don't even know what we had a disagreement over, nor does it matter. I hope that she feels the same way as I do. She looks so good and has not aged at all. You are so lucky! Anyways, it was good to catch up with Crystal and to see what a cute Mommy she is.

I had Gary, Mandy's Dad snap a picture of us at the shower. Look at the two cute gals standing next to me but not at me, I freaking blinked and we only took one picture. That would be why you check the picture before you leave. Oh well!
