I am a little slow getting pictures posted from our Fiesta Days celebration. There was a lot to do last week and we kept ourselves very busy. Monday we went to the carnival, and so did the rest of Spanish Fork. My sweet friend told me it was the family night and tickets were $1 and each ride was only one ticket. So we went and after three rides decided it was worth paying full price to not have to fight the crowd. We did run into some old and new friends, so that made it worth our time.
On Wednesday Brad had a much needed day off so we thought it would be fun to go to Seven Peaks. Lexi, Rowen and I go once a week with our season passes, but this was the first time Brad has been able to come. Good thing we didn't get him a season pass. It was really fun going as a family. Lexi loves the water. Rowen is warming up to it little by little.
Thursday was the big parade. Since we are in Circleville with my family on the 4th of July, we usually sit with Brad's family for the parade on the 24th. This year we were spoiled and my parents came with us to the parade too. Margie (Brad's Mom) was nice and brought lunch for the family. She also invited my parents to join us. Thanks Margie! The food was great, as usual! After lunch we headed home for a much needed break and a nap for the kids. It was also great to walk into a nice air conditioned house. Thank you central air!
It was a nice parade, all except the rude people who pushed my kids off their blanket and took it over. I seriously had to ask them to move off my quilt so my kids could sit back down. Then, not ten minutes later they were back on my quilt. They were all adults over the age of 30, so they knew better. If your reading this, you know who you are. Learn some manners!
Later that evening Brad and Lexi headed off to the rodeo. Not for me, I was glad to sit this event out. Rowen and I went to Blockbuster for our evening's entertainment and then to Sonic for some dinner and goodies. We even got some fireworks thanks to Mapleton City. I had no idea they had such a great fireworks show. we have never been home to find out. I think I liked sittin' on my front porch and relaxing better than sitting at the park. I'll need to keep that in mind for next year.
With all the events going on we totally forgot to lite the sparklers that we bought for the 4th of July. You read that right folks, the 4th of July. So on Friday we spent the evening doing sparklers. It was the perfect end to our fun week. I love this time of year! I'm always a little bit sad when it's over.

Lucky you on getting out of the rodeo :)
Gee lindsey, with your slide show, I almost thought I could of been out there for Fiesta Days! LOL. Tradition in Spanish doesn't seem to have changed much since I last went 10 years ago! Your kids are so cute! I have a one year old too, he is so much work, into EVERYTHING! Your family pic is great, I see Cami, but it doesn't look like she is married. Did she ever re-marry? She helped me a lot when I went through my divorce. You'll have to fill me in did she finish getting her RN, also? I really like her. Anyhow...drop me a line, and I will check in with you later. Oh, and, you look really great! You have aged perfectly, (it looks like you haven't at all!) Take care, keri
