{The Things Your Kids Bring Home From School}

As you all know, I am a germ-a-phobe. I do everything in my power to prevent getting sick. Now to my defense, I have had a couple of scary experiences with Rowen that put him in the hospital. After each stay I was given strong advise to avoid large crowds and sick people for a while. I have been trying to relax, I promise. Brad jokes that he is going to make me a germ free tool belt, with Lysol spray and wipes and of course hand sanitizer. Funny, but I would wear it.

Well today Lexi walked in the door from school and I took one look at her and knew she was not well. She had glossy eyes and said, "Mom I am soooooo tired". I knew something was up. I touched her and she was warm. I then took her temperature and she was 101.7. So I gave her Tylenol and told her to go lay down. Her fever dropped and I just thought I'd keep an eye on her. I kept asking if her throat hurt. Her tummy? Her ears? She just kept saying no, so I let her sleep. Well sure enough, after the doctor's office closed her temp hit 102 and I couldn't get it to drop, so off to after hours care. I suspected that she had strep, but she kept saying that her throat didn't hurt. Sure enough, she has strep. I always knew sooner or later we would have strep, but I had hoped that Lexi would take after me and never ever get strep. Now watch I am going to get it because I said that. Now, lets hope that my germ OCD will pay off. We came home and put her to bed. I began wiping down the house with Lysol. (I hope I didn't miss anything.) I hope that her afternoon quarantine from Rowen will pay off. Now, let's just hope that I can keep them apart for another 24 hours. I am such a drama queen, huh. I hope most of all that Lexi will feel better very soon. I love you Lexi and hate when you are not your perky, talkative little self. A little quiet is nice though. ha ha!

It's amazing what you can bring home from school. It's always so nice of the little cuties to share their cooties!

Miles got strep for the first time about this time last year. (in kindergarten) He has had it twice this year in the first grade. IT SUCKS!!! I absolutely hate it when my kids are sick. As for your OCD... I am the same way. My husband thinks I'm a freak. I go thru hand sanitizer like it's water. And my absolute favorite is Clorox Wipes. I buy them in bulk at Costco.
