{Rowen's Big Boy Bed}

After Rowen had his stay in the hospital with Pneumonia, I created a monster by having him sleep in our bed for a while. He was already showing signs of not wanting to be in a crib anymore, so we decided to take it down. I have been looking for new beds for both of my kids for a while, but I am so picky and have not been able to find what I want. That is when we decided to just place Rowen's mattress and box spring on the floor in his room for a while and get him back into his bed. For his birthday (way back in November) I made him a bed spread for his big boy bed, and I loved how it turned out. It is so nice to see it in his room and he loves to look at his new bed. Two nights ago we put Rowen to bed in his room. At first he was not happy, but to our surprise he went to sleep and slept in his room all night. It took Lexi at least a year to get this concept, so we were happy that Rowen did so well. Last night, same thing. He went to bed, fell asleep and didn't come into our room until the next morning when Brad's alarm went off. So GREAT! This morning I hugged Row and told him he did so good sleeping in his big boy bed and he said to me "Thank you". Like I had just paid him a huge compliment. I do have to admit, I miss my little boys cuddles all night.

Very cute! I wish I was as lucky My boys are horrible about sleeping in their own beds (not sure if they have ever done it)

Seriously Lindsey, you are so talented! That bedspread is so cute (even though I'm a cougar fan), but you amaze me!
