{Blog Anniversary Giveaway}

"Dear Santa,

We don't have a chimney, as you can plainly see,
but we still want you to visit us on Christmas Eve.

Here’s a Magic Key made special just for you.
Please remember to leave it inside when you are all through."

I can't believe how fast the last year has gone by. Our little family blog is reaching it's one year anniversary and I thought it would be fun to do a little give away. I just finished making some magic keys for Santa to use at homes that do not have chimneys for him to go down. This magic key only works for Santa Claus and needs to be hung on your front door knob on Christmas Eve. Santa will use this magic key to enter your home and leave presents for all that sleep within.

Here's how it works. Leave us a comment and tell us what your favorite holiday tradtion is and we'll enter you into our drawing. To make sure that the winner gets their prize before Christmas Eve, we will hold the drawing on December 20th. So get your comments posted and maybe we'll be delivering Santa's magic key to you.

Lindsey, Peyton went to gymnastics at Air time in Springville, there's another one in Salem too. My favorite holiday tradition is going to the lights on Temple Square and getting hot chocolate after. Also reading the forgotten carols.

Lindsey, I want that so here are a couple of my favorite traditions. I enjoy taking the kids several times to see lights around different parts of the town and all around. I also enjoy new Christmas Pajamas on Christmas eve, this year we will all be matching (oh what fun?) A few years ago, we started going to the cemeteries on Christmas Eve to light candles on our ancestors graves. The kids thought this was great, and I enjoyed sharing Christmas stories with them about the ancestors that I knew.

our favorite tradition is.. on christmas eve we make cookies for Santa, and set them on a special plate with a pepsi (of course, our Santa loves pepsi), then we make reindeer food. The kids are so excited to feed the reindeer. Next it's PJ's and then as a family we go and see the lights around town.

Our house needs a magic key! I think my favorite tradition is the annual Christmas Book that we recieve from Dave's parents. We have collected lots of neat books, that I read and show off as decorations every year!

Some of my favorite traditions have been letting the kids open one gift on Christmas Eve (of course they are always pj's). I love being with just being with my family and seeing the joy of my kids' faces during the whole holiday season. We love a key since we don't have a chimney, that is a great idea.

My favorite tradition is going to my grandma's house after opening presents on christmas morning. We eat scones with homemade jam. yummy!

The Nut House

Hey I want a magic key. One of my favorite traditions is to go up in the mountains the day after Thanksgiving in search of the perfect Christmas tree. My family started that tradition when I was about 6 and to this day we still do it. My mom makes amazing cinnamon rolls and homemade hot chocolate and we play in the snow and make slides and snowmen and then bring the tree home and decorate it the fist Monday in Dec for F.H.E.
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!

My favorite Christmas tradition is on Christmas Eve, we open up a gift from my parents, it's always jammies and calandars. Then, my mom buys tons of stickers and we sit around and put stickers on the special days on our calandars. It's so much fun.

I love christmas lights, so my favorite traditions are probally going to see the christmas lights, we go to festival of lights in spanish fork as well as the one at Thanksgiving point, This year we started a new tradition of going to the zoo to see the lights. I think I get more excited than my kids. I also love when I get to put up my decorations,(I use some of the same ones year after year I guess that makes it a tradition) my favorite is a ceramic santa clause who kneeling in front of jesus in a manger. It makes you remember what chistmas is about!
PS- I am so unlucky So I'm pretty sure I won't win, Can I buy one from you?

My favorite tradition is going to Temple Square, we usually ridetrax up because the kids think that is fun. I also love the baking. This is the one and only time during the year that I actually want to bake, something about Christmas candy gets me excited.

Lindsey, what a cute idea... I would tell ya that my favorite christmas tradition is to watch the Highlight sof the BYU vs Utah and remember the sweet 12-0 season and the 48-24 womping of byu by my BCS bound utes. I would have my kids all dressed up in all of their utah attire... That is the best Christmas ever, but really, we love to do 12 days of christmas to a family in need. We have taught our child to ge a good Ute, I mean people, that the true meaning of christmas is to find the spirit of Christ.. Serving others and letting the kids get involved is so precious. We had one time where our daughter wanted to give away all of her own gifts to this family.. I am not a bawl baby, But I was touched that night. Christmas is about giving, and when we give, sometimes that is teh best present....

Go Utes!!!!

That is such a cute idea, if I don't win can you tell me how to get one or make one. We have had a lot of traditions come and go, but one of my favorites is coming back this year. At my Moore family christmas party we use to draw names for gifts, but since that started getting expensive, we went to making or buying a special ornament for the person we drew and it was so fun, because threw the years you collect enough ornaments to decorate a tree. Which is one of my favorite things to do. We stopped it for a few years, but it's coming back this year. Then this year I am starting a new one with my kids. I am going to hook a ornament for them on their Santa presents and then save them in their own special box and then when they grow up and move out they will be able to decorate their own tree, well until they can afford to get new ornaments. I also love the baking of yummy fattening christmas treats, oh maybe that's why I gain 30 pounds this time of year. Merry Christmas

The Warner Family

My mom buys each of the kids an ornament that remunds her of them for the year. A broken bulb would about sum it up for Cotrin! She has a special grandkid tree that she hangs them all on. Also Santa delivers a special and magical bottle of glitter that I get to make reindeer food with every year. We also do the jammie thing. Santas elf leaves the packages on the porch and then door bell ditches. They usually show up about a week before christmas, so I can listen to my kids forever begging to open them. Thats about it

The Claysons

My favorite Christmas tradition is dinner at my Grandma's on Christmas Eve. We eat off the nice china and real silverware! We usually enjoy Red Chicken and cheesy potatoes! YUM! She makes an awesome grape juice drink too! Of course, Christmas Eve always includes Shrimp Dip... a favorite of mine!

I love putting the kids to bed on Christmas Eve and overhearing Payton telling his brothers about how Santa is going to come and leave them gifts. It's so cute!
