I know, I know, I said that I would hold the drawing on December 20th. I just can't wait that long! So I have decided to hold the drawing now. I also have decided to give away not one, but two Magic Santa Keys. Here we go.....and the winners are..... Nicki Newman & Katie Kilpatrick. Congratulations! I will bring your keys in the next couple of days.
I just want to thank everyone for sharing their Christmas traditions with me. I would love to be in any one of your families. It sounds like you all have a lot of fun. I thought I'd also share a tradition or two. We have the usual traditions that most families have and love. I wouldn't trade those traditions for anything. We always have a Christmas Eve dinner with the Downey side, where we exchange gifts with our extended family. It is a fun evening and we all look forward to the Cranberry Slush! Oh it is so good! On the Dalton side we gather together on Christmas morning for some yummy breakfast. Brad and I have done Christmas breakfast in our home for many years now. We make our usual breakfast casserole and the best caramel sticky buns you can imagine. Evey year I think, lets do a different menu for breakfast, but Brad is the stickler on this one and always talks me into our traditional breakfast. The other thing that comes from the Dalton side is the Christmas Eve PJ's. My Mom is amazing and sews all of the kids new pj's every year. This year she went the extra mile and made robes and quilts for the kids too. (Shh...don't tell the kids!) I have said it a thousand times, but I really can't express what a great family we have on both sides. We all get along and genuinely love to spend time together. They are our best friends and the people we think of when we want to hang out. Our family is our most treasured gift.
Merry Christmas!!!

Yeah me! I loooove it, it is so cute. Thanks for sharing this idea with me, it's going to be a fun tradition to start with my kids.
Now I'd like the recipe for the "best caramel sticky buns". They sound awesome. I'm always looking for something to try! Hope you guys have a Merry Christmas!
Christy, the recipe for the caramel sticky buns is in your email. Let me know what you think. My sister comes just for the sticky buns. If I ever didn't have them Christmas morning, I think I would be disowned.
That sounds so yummy! I want the recipe too (and the one for cranberry slush!) Your family sounds so fun!
I totally thought you rigged it because I kept talking about how dang cute those keys are, and since I never win anything. (except New kids tickets) THanks for giving us another Christmas tradition. Peyton can't wait for Santa to see it! Merry Christmas!
