The last day of school we woke up and sent Lexi out the door. Brad then got on the Internet and planned a fun little family trip. We then ran to the grocery store, bought some grocery supplies, came home to pack our bags and waited for Lexi to come home from school. (Holy cow...Lexi is now a second grader!!!) Once Lexi was home off we went. We headed to Green River to set up camp for the weekend at the KOA. This is the first time I personally have ever stayed at a KOA...I really do love to camp far away from people, but for this trip I am so glad we had access to showers, a pool and electricity. After eating dinner, playing at the park and swimming in the very cold pool we were ready for bed.
Friday morning we headed into Moab and then into Arches National Park. I have to brag about my amazing little kiddos! They loved Arches! They thought it was the best trip we have ever taken! We hiked all day, and yes my little Rowen hiked the entire time with very little assistance. In fact he kept repeating over and over again "This is so fun!" Lexi was right there with him. After we finished one hike both of them would be asking to do another. I was seriously impressed! I think the hike that surprised me the most was the Delicate Arch hike. It as a bit harder, but Lexi & Rowen did great! We got a really fun family picture in front of Delicate Arch. By the end of each day boy did we all need a shower. We were so sandy from all the hiking.
After two days of hiking and hanging out in Moab we headed home with plans to return to the area soon. We still have Canyonlands and Goblin Valley to wonder through.

Hey Lindsey! Just catching up on your blog! It looks like such a fun last-minute trip. Those are the best. I seriously laughed so hard about your story of Lexi kissing a boy at school! Can you believe our kids will be in high school some day? So crazy. Anyway, I hope you and your family are doing great!!
