{Kindy 500}

Today was the Kindy 500, an exciting day for the Kindergarten kids at our school. All the students made cardboard box cars and paraded them through the halls to show off their work. Now I will admit outright, Lexi did not make her car. She is fortunate enough to have a wonderful Grandpa that loves to help and loves to spoil her rotten. He did a great job making this cool Jeep, complete with a Lexi 2003 license plate. Thanks Grandpa!

Rowen loves cars and had to be in some of the pictures of Lexi's Jeep. You should have seen him eyeing up that car. He definitely has some Dalton blood in him.

They did a cute little program before the parade started and sang a lot of patriotic songs. After the parade they visited different stations to learn more about our country. The Kindergarten teachers did a great job and the kids had a ton of fun. On one note, Lexi's car was quite a bit bigger than most of the cars and we didn't have any straps to hold it on her, so she carried it. Half way through the parade Lexi was crying because her hands hurt. She showed them to me and they were bright red. You could tell they were hurting. She was a trooper though and kept going.

Thanks Lexi for having us come and watch. You did a great job and we are very proud of you. You are an amazing little person!

Did you like the Kindy? I wasn't too impressed. I think the kids got bored of the rotations. Oh well! I miss the Zoo program. Lexi's jeep turned out way cute!
