"Hi, my name is Lindsey and I'm a Diet Cokeaholic"

Those of you who know me well, and I guess many of you that don't know me well know that I have one major addiction, DIET COKE! I have had many a bad habit in my life, and have been able to overcome them. My love of Diet Coke, well that is a different story. Like a junky, it was the first thing I did every morning and the last thing before bed. If I were stranded on a desert island and could have one thing (beside my family) it would be Diet Coke (and believe you me, my family would hope that I had my DC too!). I seriously have given it up many times, and then eventually gone back to my dear old friend. This time is going to be different. I have been doing really well resisting the temptation. I have been going without for close to 30 days! Talkin' it one day at a time! Many people have asked me what made me give it up. Well, here are the facts kids: 1. I hate that it has that much control over me; 2. I don't want to die and be jonesin' for Diet Coke through eternity; 3. Have you seen how much groceries are rising in cost!?!; 4. If my brother Derek can give it up, by hell so can I!; & 5. I want to be healthier and carbonation is so bad for you. I am always going to miss my dear old friend, but it is time for us to part ways. As my friends and family, I expect you to keep me on the straight and narrow, if you see me fall off the wagon I offically give you permission to call me on it.

I'm proud of you because I am 100% addicted to plain straightup COKE! I love love love it and wish so bad I could give it up..and have tried many times but never succeeded. I wish I was as strong as you. I always tell my kids to help me and then when they say something to me when I start drinking it they get their head chewed off. I admit..it is an awful feeling having something have that much control over ya. Maybe one day!!!

Let me tell you a secret...if you can get through the first year, you wont want it anymore. One year my sister challanged me to go a year without chocolate (she did it)I made it a whopping 4 days, so I tweaked the challange and went a year without any soda. By the time the year was up I didn't have any desire for it and the first time I did drink it, the carbonation hurt my nose somthing fierce. So if you can do a year then you can do a lifetime. Of course that year is not at all easy. I will drink it occaionally but I regret it later when my stomach bloats up. Best of luck to you. I will keep you on the straight and narrow during Youth Conferance (r u going?)

Good for you Weezy! I have given it up for periods in my life, but I've decided that I can treat myself when we go to dinner or have Bunko! Johnny's has missed me terribly since I've quit my daily stops there and I fear now that you might be putting Bob's out of business! Oh well! Good for you!

You are a stronger person than I. The addiction runs deep in my family. The last words my grandma said was "Bruce do you have a diet coke?" saying that to my dad.
Keep going, you are doing great! I have done it few times also but alas I always go back.

WHAT!!!?? Bunko won't be the same without all of us hitting the bottle :) but seriously good for you. They might as well hook it to an IV for me I already know I can't do it!

way to go, but that picture you posted seems like a waste of a perfectly good diet coke.
