{Updates coming soon...I promise!}

I know that I have been a huge blog slacker the past few months...sorry. I have been so busy and just needed some time to realign my life schedule. A little over a month ago I was called as the Young Womens President in our ward...really! I have been in Young Womens for about 6 1/2 years now and have loved every minute of it, but being the President is a lot more work! No complaints, I love our youth and feel so blessed to still be serving in this organization. I do have to say that I worry more, pray a ton more and there is not a minute of any day that I am not thinking of ways to show our young women how much they are loved. Let's just say that I am beginning to wonder if this totally overwhelmed feeling is ever going to leave. I have great women serving with me and thank my Heavenly Father everyday for their loving support and friendship. They are amazing examples to the youth and to me.

With this all being said, I have a lot of family posts to do! I have managed to get pictures of many of the Downey adventures over the past couple of months, so please stay tuned...

Wow - congrats on your new calling! As a fellow YW pres, I totally feel your pain. And yes, the overwhelmed feeling does go away, but not for a while. It took me about 2-3 months, and I had been in YW for a while already too. I'm sure you're a great president. My favorite talk that I read when I feel overwhelmed is "Rise to Your Call" by Elder Eyring. (Oct 2002 Gen Conf) It always brings the spirit and calms me down.

Thanks Michelle! I'll have to look up the talk. We'll have to share some activity ideas etc.
