Here are the boxes as we were assembling them and setting the posts in concrete. It's funny how you forget how bad out dirt sucks to dig into until you have to do it again. I use the term dig loosely, because you can't actually dig into our dirt more than a couple of inches before you hit a rock the size of your head! Needless to say as I dug 20 holes, I cursed the rocks. I'm not afraid to admit it...it really sucked!!!

Here is the pile of dirt that I got for my birthday. No, I'm not kidding! I wanted the garden in as quickly as possible and the next day available for delivery was on my birthday. So that night we hauled four yards of dirt by wheel barrel into the garden boxes. We did get it all moved by 9:00 p.m. and the boxes were ready to plant.

And here is the finished product, all planted with tomatoes, tomatillos, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, carrots, radishes, pumpkins, and watermelon. Now I just get to water and wait...something I hate to do. Waiting is not my strong point...maybe I will finally learn patience. Ha Ha!
